Josh Meyers
Josh is originally from Michigan and has lived in the DMV area since November 2014. In October 2015, at the age of 19, he experienced a transformative moment when he placed his faith in Jesus for his salvation. Over the past decade, Josh has been dedicated to growing in his relationship with Christ while sharing the message of salvation with others.
In 2019, Josh and his wife, Janeen, became licensed foster parents in Virginia, welcoming four children into their home. During their final placement, Josh had the opportunity to disciple one of the youth in their care, leading that young person to faith in Jesus. This experience fueled his passion for meeting individuals where they are and guiding them in their walk with Christ.
Josh believes in the power of walking alongside people authentically, supporting them as they navigate both their faith and life challenges. He is currently involved in mentoring and supporting young adults who have aged out of foster care through his role at Project Belong.
Through his journey, Josh’s commitment to faith, discipleship, and fostering has shaped his life’s mission: to connect with people, help them grow in their relationship with Christ, and experience the transformative love of Jesus. When he’s not focused on ministry or family, Josh enjoys spending time in nature, trying different food, and watching movies. He hopes to expand his efforts in both foster care and discipleship, impacting even more lives through personal relationships and community involvement.
